Flour Storage Radio Shuttle System
RADIO SHUTTLE
Requirement: I need to share a large number of SKUs with per SKU. I also need quick supplement, maximum space development and low management costs.

Solution: the radio shuttle system is the best solution to solve this complex demand. The system operates by using one or more robotic vehicles which operates the pallet movement tasks on intensive storage racking. Investing in a radio shuttle system cuts down the major operational costs. Therefore, for the warehouse, the return on investment is realized in a short time. During this period, a large number of goods flow at a high speed.

The radio shuttle is a self-propelled pallet conveying device which runs on the track in specially designed racking structures, for pallet loading and unloading. The radio shuttle is made up of programmable mobile carriers (through traditional forklifts) and specially designed racking structures, thereby saving staff's operation time.

For example, the forklift driver wants to retrieve certain pallets from specific lanes. To do this, he puts the radio shuttle (at home) on the lane and issues appropriate commands through the accompanied remote control.

The shuttle runs back and forth on the lane without any intervention, thus giving the driver the opportunity to handle other tasks. In this way, the number of operators required is still limited. If you want to increase circulation in the warehouse during a certain period of time, you can simply introduce more radio shuttles.

Radio shuttle operation function:

Radio shuttles:

FIFO: pallets transported to terminal location, goods stored and picked up from the opposite side of the racking.

LIFO: pallets transported to home location, goods stored and picked up from the initial side of the racking.

Single pallet access: Radio shuttle moves back and forth to prevent damage.

Store or pick up a specific number or all pallets in a lane.

Move pallets to the pick - up side (LIFO & FIFO).

Change edge: in FIFO applications, the radio shuttle runs in the transmission process of pallet to the opposite position (converse home position).

Pallets counting function: the radio shuttle operates under pallets and calculates the number of pallets.

Low power < 40%: the radio shuttle will not perform any cycle and sends the location message to the remote control device inside the racking.

Recovery mode: manually dismantling with jack-wheels.

Benefits of radio shuttle:

The radio shuttle system provides the highest density storage and is considered the best solution among non-fully automated systems.

The system is semi- automated (combined with forklift trucks).

When the shuttle delivers goods on the racking, the forklift driver can freely work elsewhere, thereby saving his time.

The same item (SKU) can be compactly stored in each lane.

Ability to handle pallets FIFO and LIFO (refer to the specific configuration in this quote).

Sturdy structure.

AC motor / inverter technology.

Compared with DC motor, it is more compact (lower height and larger battery space).

Less maintenance.

Electro-mechanical cam (eccentric) lifting mechanism (continuous improvement in all aspects).

No hydraulic (no oil leakage).

Timing charging.

Large battery capacity.

Short charging time.

Regenerative braking energy is optimized to operate autonomously.
